Description
In the old days, pickups were handmade by people who operated the pickups machine. When this is done by hand, the wire is wound in a more natural way than a machine would ever do. This gives each pickup a personal sound, even if one is made according to the same specifications as another pickup.
I made a pickup machine with adjustable speed and direction, so I have maximal control over the windings. I have available wire, magnets and bobbins for many types of pickups.
Panucci Custom Guitars have all hand wound pickups (except when indicated).
